i'm usually one to fall in love with artists whose music embodies lyrical truth as well as an ambition and vision..like Matisyahu right?! But for some reason, no matter what I CANNOT stop listening to Tay Swift. It's just on some days, my heart feels tiny and in need of smoothing over. she is just so god damn corny but I love her songs because it is so shrug-your-shoulders genuine and honest, without turning unkind and mean. Yes, most of the time it seems like she's talking about falling for all that Disney princess fairytale idealism crap but acknowledging that there might be no such thing as "one and only true love", TaySwift makes me want to cry & laugh & giggle & be hokey in a classy way and fall in love. I guess this proves that my passion for diversity in music has been revived a hundred times over. i could be wrong but whatever...more opportunites to dance & for my steps to be a little bit airy & my pulse beats with more glee and purpose. i am not as distressed as i used to be.
If i was musically talented i would strum delicate tunes, sing in front of a mic, maybe in a coffee shop? my songs would be silly, summer-y, sweet, free of symbolism and no one can fabricate my lyrics to deeper meanings.
it is EXACTLY what it is.
BLISS, curled toes, crinkled nose and all. a peace of mind.
It's a good thing :)
{**} sorry this post is so random. so i'm trying to break myself in to writing in this blog again so i need to start from somewhere lol. better entries will soon come. i promise!
